Last weekend, Mass Effect 3 multiplayer fans enjoyed a 25% XP boost with Operation Fortress to train a record number of new recruits. These new recruits will be turned into battle-hardened veterans in the next N7 Bounty Weekend by taking advantage of Operation Raptor between 5 PM PST Friday, March 30 and 5 AM PST Monday, April 2.

You can rally your allies for this weekend's Operation Raptor by promoting at least two characters to your single player campaign - all promotions will result in an increased N7 rating. Commendation Packs will be awarded to individual soldiers who complete their training, and a Victory Pack will be awarded to everyone if the Allied Goal is achieved - packs will be available to download the following week.

Note that participants need to set "Upload Gameplay Feedback" to "on" in the online options to be able to participate in Operation Raptor.

  2. According to Joystiq, the new SimCity will require a constant internet connection to play, even in single-player mode. Players will need to be connected to Origin even if they purchased the game via digital distributors other than EA's online service.

Also, SimCity won't support mods at launch but this feature is already built into GlassBox, the new engine powering the game.

And Korean developer and publisher Ntreev Soft will manage Korean localization and distribution efforts for HoN in Korea.

The proposed plan will provide gamers in both regions with localized servers, regional marketing, dedicated support teams, e-sport tournaments, and local billing services where gamers can utilize their local currency.

  4. Kunos Simulazioni announced today that Tatuus FA01, which competes in the Italian based championship: ACI CSAI Formula Abarth, has been officially licensed for Assetto Corsa, a racing game developed exclusively for PC and due to be released later this year. Following the tradition of Kunos Simulazioni relating to open-wheeled cars, the Tatuus FA01 has been reproduced in cooperation with Tatuus racing engineers and respecting the real technical specifications, in order to reproduce its dynamic behaviour with as much accuracy as possible. The simulation is tested and used by CSAI (the Italian Motorsport Federation) for their training sessions at Vallelunga racing track, where the Kunos development team can access data, videos and direct feedback from the real drivers.

CVG is reporting that ZeniMax Media, the Bethesda Softworks parent company, has filed a trademark for Dawnguard, a name that could be the title of an upcoming DLC expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The trademark is for "computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices".

CVG notes that the trademark bares a similarity in name to the Mythic Dawn Guards which appeared in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - it seems they are members of the Mythic Dawn cult, which worships Mehrunes Dagon, the daedric prince of destruction.
