Unul dintre cele mai asteptate filme de actiune ale lui 2008 este produs de J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias) si spune povestea unui grup de oameni care trebuie sa reziste intr-un New York atacat de o misterioasa creatura gigantica, probabil in stare sa arunce mingi de foc. Prapadul pe care aceasta il produce face filmul mai asteptat decat Godzilla, controversa despre natura si caracteristicile fiarei aprinzand imaginatia fanilor din lumea intreaga ai lui Abrams.
